Golden Globes 2013 winners announced

It was a golden night program for WNBC TV tonight with glitz and glamour at the Golden Globes 2013 Awards with stellar hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler. From Red Carpet's best dressed to the very ending best motion picture, drama winner the night was filled with surprises. Here is a recap of the winners, in chron order by announcement. A big surprise guest, President Bill Clinton came to the podium to present the film "Lincoln." Actor Robert Downey Jr. presented the Cecile B. Demille Lifetime Achievement Award to Jodie Foster.

•Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture – Christoph Waltz, "Django Unchained" – Winner (1st award announcement)
•Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television - Maggie Smith, Downton Abbey – Winner (2nd award announcement – not at event)
•Best Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television - Game Change – Winner (3rd award announcement)
•Best Actress in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television - Julianne Moore, Game Change - Winner (2nd Golden Globe, 7 nominations, 4th award announcement)
•Best Actor in a Television Series, Drama - Damian Lewis, Homeland – Winner (5th award announcement, 1st win, 3rd announcement)
•Best Television Series, Drama - Homeland – Winner (6th award announcement)
•Best Original Score- Motion Picture – Mychael Danna, "Life of Pi"
•Best Original Song - Motion Picture - Skyfall, "Skyfall" (music and Lyrics by Adele who has also won 9 Grammies and 4 American Music Awards
•Best Actor in a Miniseries or Motion Picture Made for Television – Kevin Costner, Hatfields & McCoys


Special guest, President Bill Clinton arrived at the podium to describe the motion picture “Lincoln.” Let’s take a look at Stephen Spielberg’s extraordinary, “Lincoln” nominated for best motion picture – Drama.

•Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture – Anne Hathaway, “Les Miserables”
•Best Screenplay - Motion Picture – “Django Unchained,” Quentin Trantino
•Best Actor in a Television Series, Comedy or Musical - Don Cheadle, “House of Lies”
•Best Foreign Language Film – Amour (Austria)
•Best Actress in a Television Series, Drama – Claire Danes

Robert Morton Downey Jr. announced Cecile B. Demille Lifetime Achievement Award to Jodie Foster for her “exceptional life in cinema and exemplary 5 decade career which she has won 44 awards, including 2 Golden Globes, and 3 Oscars.” Foster has been in the film industry for 47 years and started when she was 3 years old. “We made movies together and you can’t get more intimate than that.” ~~ Jodie Foster
